CPEC And Balochistan

China-Pakistan economic corridor, famously called CPEC in Pakistan, is part of China's one belt one road(OBOR) which is the other name of Chinese economic and strategic dominance on the world. Gwadar is the hub of the China-Pakistan economic corridor, as its deep-sea port will be used by Chinese for the trade. Gwadar port has been handed over to Chinese. After this, there is a perception that Pakistan will progress in economic terms so do Balochistan will. But residents of Balochistan have quite contrary views regarding this project. They have reservations and they are right in their thinking. As we have seen locals of Balochistan are not being given their true share in this project. All mega projects of cpec have been allocated to Punjab. Even Gwadar itself has seen no change in its fate since the start of this project, how can other residents of Balochistan expect a change in their destiny. There is no clean water to drink for citizens of Gwadar. Electricity is anothe
