Desert jeep rally in jhal magsi is one of the best sporting events in Balochistan. Every year in the month of december, drivers all around the country come to jhal magsi to participate in the rally. Two year ago, I had an opportunity to attend this thrilling event and I availed it. The place of the event is one hour drive from my village but it took me two hours to reach Jhal Magsi because the road was not in good condition from my village to Jhal Magsi. As soon as I reached there, the rally was in progress. I was quite lucky to get few very good glimpses of it. Jeeps were piercing through the heart of desert. Nerves of the drivers were tested on every turn in the desert of Jhal Magsi. I was astonished to see such beautiful scenes for the first time in my life. Some jeeps were not good enough for the rally and could not bear the ruthlessness of desert so their engines seized. Jeeps were going like bullets, all I can see was the dust clouds trailing them. It was

Various student organisations on Thursday staged a protest demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club against alleged harassment and blackmailing of students by some staff members of the University of Balochistan (UoB). Organised under the banner of Students Educational Alliance, the leaders leading the protest said the UoB vice chancellor was responsible for the entire scandal as, according to them, the VC was “head of the blackmailers and saviour of the culprits”. Students also continued their protest at the UoB for the fourth consecutive day and marched through the campus to mount pressure on the authorities to punish the culprits. A day earlier, the UoB’s Academic Staff Association had distanced itself from the scandal and pointed the finger at the university administration, including the VC. Addressing a press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Wednesday, Professor Dr Kaleem Ullah Barech, representing the Academic Staff Association, had said their associa

Sunset at a Rice Farm in Jaffarabad  Balochistan Sunsets are one of the most beautiful experiences mother nature has to offer. As abundant as nature's love is, sunsets are for everyone- that too for free. Whether you live in the city or on the country side, on the beach or in the hills, be it a house or a condo- you can always gaze into the fiery gaze of the sun letting you know it's gonna be alright, each day...everyday.
